Anthony Salata, FRICS MCIArb
 

 

Anthony Salata is joint senior partner of Jorden Salata, a chartered surveyor and arbitrator and CEDR accredited mediator and a registered fixed charge receiver. He has been a principal for over 25 years and has 33 years experience in the fields of valuation, investment and
development appraisal.


A member of the International Panel of Distinguished Mediators of the CPR Institute of Dispute Resolution in New York, Anthony was the previous Chairman of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors Dispute Resolution Practice Panel and is Chairman of the RICSMediation Task Force. He is also a member of the Training Faculty of CEDR (the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution).


As a Law of Property Act Receiver, he advises a number of major banks and financial institutions. He has experience of project co-ordination, property development, property
investment and valuation and writes on property related matters. Hewas the author of "Offices Today & Tomorrow", a development manual published by the College of Estate Management and was a contributor to "Building Design Utilisation", published by Spon.

As a contributor to the Television Education Network, he presented the videos and papers covering ADR and mediation in connection with property valuation. He has presented CPD tapes for the Arbitration Act 1996 and the Civil Evidence Act. He has given two of the Bar/Law
Society/RICS Blundell Memorial Lectures covering the role of ADR in property disputes and as Expert witness.


As a contributor to the Television Education Network, he has presented the videos and papers covering ADR. Currently he is writing the Mediation and Arbitration sections of the new on-line e-book “Dispute Resolution & Avoidance” by RICS Books Ltd.


Mediation experience includes alleged negligence by surveyors, valuers and solicitors, construction, joint venture partnerships, valuation disputes, boundary disputes town planning matters, fee disputes, and service charge, compensation, property management and housing, employment and inheritance disputes. Disputed sums have included figures in the order of £150m.
