A non-lawyer mediator, accredited in 1992. A highly experienced commercial mediator and trainer of commercial mediators. Registered CEDR mediator and writer of the CEDR Mediator Handbook.

A significant proportion of David’s mediations have been international disputes and many disputes have involved parties from ethnic minority origins. Case values range from £4,000 to £650 million.

He is very experienced in multi-party mediations and where large numbers of participants are involved. One of the few commercial mediators experienced in comediation of complex disputes with an established pairing with Presiley Baxendale QC.

David’s style is relaxed and informal but he is also noted for tenacity and the ability to challenge. He has been in construction for most of his life and ran his own chartered quantity surveying practice. His past professional role in project management has strengthened his skills in effective use of team dynamics. David particularly mediates in the fields of:
