Presiley’s mediations often involve
Government departments, local authorities and other public bodies.
She has co-mediated a multi-party dispute involving claims over £1
billion and many of her mediations concern very sensitive matters
in the public domain.
Presiley has handled mediations involving,
among others, major banks, law firms, local authorities and leading
accountancy practices. She represented the United Kingdom on the
Working Group on ADR of the CCBE (Council of the Bars and Law Societies
of the European Union) from 2004-2007, and is chair of the CEDR Public
Sectory Advisory Forum.

Presiley was Counsel
for the Inquiry into Exports of Defence Equipment and Dual Use Goods
to Iraq (The Scott Inquiry) from 1993-1996, and Counsel for the tribunal
in two child abuse enquiries, Jasmine Beckford and Kimberley Carlile.
She was the first woman to be appointed to the “A” Panel
of Junior Counsel to the Crown (Common Law). She has been a Governor
of the London School of Economics since the mid 1980s and Vice Chairman
since 2004.
